Sunshine Blogger Award

If you are nominated for the Sunshine Blogger Award, congratulations! That means that somebody has noticed your voice and point-of-view. The Sunshine Blogger Award – like many other awards for bloggers – is a best opportunity not only to advertise our work, but also to meet other bloggers who are inspiring and talented.

More than a month ago, on the 19th of September 2020 to be exact, Richie nominated me for the Sunshine Blogger Award. Richie is the author of Richie’s Room. I often visit his blog site and read his posts, because his advices and views are quite insightful. I particularly like when he talks about dogs.

Hey Richie, thank you so much for nominating me. It is very much appreciated. To be recognised is an award in itself. I could only apologise for responding just now. You see, I am a procrastinator. It is one of my talents I truly excel.

But what is Sunshine Blogger Award? One might ask. As Richie succinctly put it:

The Sunshine Blogger Award is a peer-recognition achievement for bloggers. That is bloggers nominate other bloggers who they believe create blogs that are worth reading.

In this Award, a blogger is nominated along with other nominees (11 in total). The nominee will answer the 11 questions posted by the person who nominated them. In return, the nominee will nominate other 11 bloggers who he/she thinks deemed worthy of such a recognition. Then, like the person who nominated them, they will also post 11 question to the 11 bloggers they nominated. Ok, what is it with the number 11?

I have already mentioned some the rules in the previous section. Bellow is the complete list of the rules. So, nominees, here are the rules:

1. Thank the person who nominated you and provide a link to their blog.
2. Answer the 11 questions asked by the person who nominated you.

Answer to Richie’s Questions

Picking one option only (no sitting on the fence!), would you say that you primarily blogged for fun or for profit?

Definitely for fun! Profit has never been my motivation for blogging.

Tell us about your most recent pet.

As a child, we had a dog and a cat. His name was Doggie and the cat was Potpot. And you know what, they were really best friends.

What is your favourite (non-domestic) animal and why?

Elephants. Why? Where to begin? I think they are so majestic and very intelligent too.

What is your biggest phobia? (assuming it isn’t answering questions!)

Heights!

What one thing about you might surprise others if they knew?

I cannot swim.

Have you ever broken a bone (your own, not somebody else’s!) – name the bone and describe the circumstances that resulted in it being broken?

Luckily, I haven’t… yet.. (knock on wood).

Jack Reacher, the main character in Lee Child’s books, is 6’5″ tall and weighs around 17 stone (238 pounds, 108kg). Who would you choose to play him in movie versions of the books? (Minus points for putting the actual choice, which was Tom Cruise!).
